Can I invest in your company?

Yes. We are currently seeking a large investor/firm to enable us to accelerate our R&D, but until then we are still accepting private investors. The minimum investment is $10,000. If this fits within your portfolio please contact mike@futurevehicletechnologies.com for an investor’s package. We are also RRSP eligible.

Why 3 Wheels?

There are several reasons for this and some are surprising:

  1. 3 wheels allows us:
    • To design the body in more of a teardrop shape allowing us to optimize the aerodynamics improving fuel efficiency by reducing drag
    • To improve cornering performance (3 wheeled vehicles actually corner much better than 4 wheeled cars)
    • To reduce the overall body weight of the vehicle and reduce fuel consumption

What is the top speed?

The new eVaro is a sports car and will have a top speed of 130 mph and 0 to 60 mph in under 5 sec.

Is the eVaro “tippy” on corners?

No. In fact it is very stable.

What is a “series” hybrid?

Most of the hybrids on the road today are parallel hybrids, meaning the gas motor and electric motor can both propel the vehicle. A series hybrid using only an electric motor to drive the vehicle with a small gas generator used to top up the battery pack when needed.

What will be the battery life and cost of replacement?

These factors are yet to be determined, however there is rapid advancements in technology, therefore cost are coming down and life span is increasing.

Will the canopy open so I can get a coffee at the drive-through?

Yes, like an electric sunroof.

Are there plans for a 4-seat model of any kind in the foreseeable future?

Yes FVT has future plans for a four seated vehicle however it will not be a priority until after the eVaro goes into production.

How will it work in the snow and cold climates?

Being front wheel drive it should be comparable to other front wheel drive cars.

What kind of customer is the eVaro designed for?

The eVaro is designed for the high speed commuter, for those people who travel long distances at highway speeds over 70 mph (120 kph) and who enjoy a spirited ride while combining a very responsive and fun vehicle with the highest possible mileage and lowest emissions possible.
