 Breaking the 100mpg barrier
This was our biggest milestone for the past 3 years and we have now surpassed it. The eVaro has achieved in excess of 250 mpge (miles per gallon equivalent) while still performing at an exotic sports car level. We are now focusing on increasing the range, designing our own BMS (battery management system) and of course we won’t forget the GPS and cup holders etc.
Competing in the X-PRIZE
FVT will use the “Automotive X-PRIZE” competition as a platform to market our company, the car and our technologies to the world. We are one of 8 Canadian entries in this international competition that currently involves 11 countries and 111 teams in a race to find the world’s fastest and most fuel efficient vehicle. The eyes of the world will be on this competition and FVT will be on the world stage. The eVaro will stand out as one of the few “original design” vehicles in the race.
 Production
Production is planned just after the X-PRIZE competition. FVT has the capacity of producing 3000 vehicles in the first year and plans to ramp up production as demand dictates.
